      S. Michael DeHart aka WVUmounties8 What??? The last time he made a SB was 2010,they miss the playoffs 4x,and Ben loss to Tebow, the Jags, the Patriots in the playoffs...1 5000 yard season, over 30 TD's maybe 3x in his career...He ain't elite either

For now, but I'm old enough to remember this happening before. Then a couple of years later we became the steel curtain and one for the thumb.Never think the Steelers are down and out,we come back stronger.

Ben Roethisberger is done. I don’t understand why you think a regressing Lil Ben is the answer for a young team. It’s time for Mason Rudolph and his young receivers to spark a change in Pittsburgh. Big Ben is not the answer. I believe Rudolph is.

Sorry guys, Big Ben won a SB in his second year. He’s so under rated. 2 rings, 3 SB’s he’s a first ballot HOF. Can’t be replaced. His size, arm, grit, intelligence, toughness, decision making, crazy play making abilities. He’s a very rare talent. Only a few guys, Elway, Young, McNair really can compare athletically and intellectually to his total package.
              Sorely missed and underrated!
Oh and I’m a lifelong Broncos fan. So much respect for BB. An fing beast!

This offseason would have been the perfect time to sweep out Mike Tomlin, his staff, their outdated schemes and their overly player-friendly management approach along with Brown and Bell. The Steelers could then have drafted a quarterback of the future, let Roethlisberger play out the last year of his contract instead of extending him, and prepared to embark on a new era.

Ben won't be back, this is his excuse to retire like he's been wanting for years. Now he can sit at home and get fatter than he already is.

I'm not a big fan but I do enjoy them because they have been the team to beat for years. Well that's the nature of the sport. All may not be lost. It's time for these guys to step it up.

I’ve been writing for the past few months that his time-to-throw (TT) number, according to the NFL’s next gen stats, is really terrific. I think Ben is at 2.55 and surprisingly, Carr is about the same. But that number is the average number of seconds that a QB, on pass plays, takes between the snap and the throw. “Perfect” is 2.5. Ben is also exceedingly accurate for his size. But I do think that Pittsburgh has used him too long as a crutch. The Steelers have needed to prepare for Ben’s retirement and they keep ignoring that it will eventually happen. If I’m the Steelers GM I would’ve been looking for the next QB the last couple years.

But the Steelers and Rapelessburger are done. Patriots win the Super Bowl and Trump 2024
